The Multimedia Grant project has a long history of supporting educational initiatives for Ohioans. This project is a joint initiative among the Broadcast Educational Media Commission (BEMC), the Ohio Department of Education (ODE), and Ohio's Public Television Stations.

Drawing with Mr. J - Season 3
Drawing with Mr. J is a video series from WOSU Classroom that helps kids in grades K–5 learn social and emotional skills through brief but engaging drawing challenges. All you need is something to draw with and something to draw on! Each video comes complete with a standards-aligned companion guide containing activities and resources for educators and parents. The videos can be worked into a variety of lesson plans, be used as a morning warm-up, or a way to check in with students after lunch or other transition times.

Engineering Your Future: Middle School Edition
The “Engineering Your Future” shares real stories from young professionals who want to inform and inspire students about in-demand engineering careers. Meet a middle school kid on a mission to interview as many engineers as possible to find out - what’s so special about engineering. Watch and listen as each engineer reveals their personal influences - their mentors, heroes, interests, and talents - that guided them from a young age into their rewarding STEM careers. “Engineering Your Future: Middle School Edition” introduces middle school kids to STEM career possibilities early on, before they reach high school age. This video collection is designed to inspire girls and students of color - as well as all students - about engineering and other in-demand STEM careers, with real stories from young STEM professionals that look like them.

NewsDepth: Career Callouts
Ideastream produced a “Career Callout” series to run within Ideastream’s weekly program for children NewsDepth. The short segments will focus on career awareness and be related to news covered within the episode. Careers include heavy truck driver, cosmetologist, environmental scientist, medical lab technologist, dietitian, computer programmer, and registered nurse.

The Importance of Educational Assessment in Early Childhood
WGTE Public Media's Multimedia 2022 video series highlights the Importance of Educational Assessment in Early Childhood with a target audience of families. The FY22 videos are designed for use by families with non-specialized knowledge of assessment and Kindergarten Readiness Assessment. Parents, caregivers, and teachers will find these videos useful in understanding Early Childhood assessments. This series uses strategies identified in Ohio's Learning Standards and Ohio's Kindergarten Readiness Assessment along with Ohio's Whole Child Framework and Ohio Strategic Plan for Education. Videos are produced on location with partners and subject matter experts from Toledo Public Schools and Ohio Department of Education, Office of Early Learning and School Readiness.

Key speakers and panelists presented during each webinar on how the pandemic learning gap was handled in Ohio's elementary, middle, and high schools as well as Ohio's special needs and high school to college classrooms.
- Each program featured a live virtual webinar, with a live audience asking questions and offering comments.
- Webinar sessions are recorded and posted on the program website for easy access and reference.

CASEL Indicators of Schoolwide Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)
This video series discusses how to implement social-emotional learning (SEL) on a school-wide basis using the Collaborative for Academic Social & Emotional Learning’s (CASEL) “Indicators of Schoolwide SEL” as a guide. The videos feature national experts, as well as interviews, and footage from schools that have successfully built SEL into their school culture.
The first five videos were published in 2020: Explicit SEL Instruction; Integrated with Academic Instruction; Youth Voice & Engagement; Focus on Adult SEL; and Authentic Family Partnerships.
